Default Folder X Mac Torret adds a toolbar to the right side of any OS X-native application’s “Open and Save” window. The toolbar provides quick access to numerous files and tasks. You utilize the buttons to go to your favorite and frequently used folders, control the folders and files shown in the list, and modify your preferences.
It also resolves various Open and Save dialog issues by “rebounding” to the previous chosen file, relocating the path listing to the top menu, and fixing flaws with scrolling column views.
Features of Default Folder X for macOS
- Use DFX’s toolbar to access recent, favorite, and open folders. Hierarchical pop-up menus make folder navigation easy to access files.
- If you save often in the same folder, DFX remembers it. Setting it as an application’s default folder puts you in the right place from the start.
- DFX opens or saves any Finder window with one click. It gives every Open and Save dialog the functionality of the Finder to view, duplicate, rename, and remove files.
- DFX remembers previously used folders and files to help you find them fast. Even your last opened file is reselected. DFX helps you remember where you placed things.
- Keyboard shortcuts for preferred folders speed up travel. Select recent folders and launch Finder windows with a keystroke. DFX shortcuts are fully customizable.
